about us: Our Approach

We pride ourselves on our ability to build and sustain strong working relationships with our clients. We help to create the conditions where both support and challenge are present so that measurable progress toward organisational and personal goals is achieved.

Our approach goes beyond the knowledge and skills focus of many development initiatives, to address underlying attitudes, values and beliefs. There is often a missing link which stops people applying learning into action. We find that our emphasis on personal development combined with on-going support can bridge this gap.

We recognise the climate of complexity, uncertainty and challenge in which many people work. We focus on the real, everyday issues that face our clients. We help people find practical solutions to immediate work problems whilst developing the necessary capability to sustain effectiveness in the changing work environment.

We believe that good performance in any field depends on a number of interrelated factors as illustrated by this model. In our experience people who excel are not only highly competent, having the skills and knowledge to do the job, they are also confident and committed to their work, to the values of their organisation, and to achieving quality results.

In addition, good performance involves paying attention to the context in which the work is taking place and the people involved, and responding situationally. That is, appropriately adapting style and approach to achieve optimum results from different people and different situations.

We address all of these areas in our work.
